If you want to be healthy or lose weight, it is vital that you take control of the food you eat and cook as many of your own meals as possible. That way, you’ll be able to make sure that the food you eat is good for you while monitoring the size of your portions.
If you rely on processed foods and ready meals, you can never be too sure of what ingredients are in your food, and it’s also very easy to eat too much. After all, you’ll probably just eat whatever size portion you buy your food in and if that’s a big portion, so be it.
Cooking your own food means you have a choice about what and how much you should eat.
However, time and a lack of kitchen skills can make cooking your own food a tall order for some people. You COULD hire a chef to cook your meals for you, but that’s probably impractical and will definitely be expensive!
Instead, I suggest you buy a slow cooker and use it to make your healthy meals. My favorite slow cookers and how to find the one that best suits your needs here.
Slow cookers are very easy to use and, best of all, require no kitchen skills at all. If you can turn on a switch, set a timer, chop some ingredients, and pour some liquid, you have all the skills necessary to make delicious, healthy meals.
With slow cooking, meal preparation takes minutes and not hours, and the slow cooker does all the hard work, so you are free to go about your day. Slow cookers cook your food at low temperatures over a long period which means you can throw a meal together in the morning, go to work, and then come home to a healthy, warm, and delicious dinner.
Some slow cookers are even programmable so that you don’t even have to worry if you are running a little late; they’ll automatically switch to “warm mode” to keep your meal the perfect temperature so you can forget about overcooking your meal.
You can use a slow cooker to make a wide variety of meals from perfect stews to tasty roasts to filling soups and even desserts. And almost all slow cooker recipes are simple and easy to follow.

Healthy eating really can be as easy as chopping some ingredients, tossing them in a slow cooker, and leaving your slow cooker to turn them into a delicious, healthy meal. It really doesn’t matter if you have no kitchen skills because, honestly, you don’t need any!
