Now, let’s talk about how to prepare this delicious and nutritious salad…
Which Ingredients Do You Need?
Paleo diet recipes don’t have to cost a fortune to prepare. While salmon isn’t cheap, you should be able to find an affordable filet which is fresh. Aside from one salmon filet, you’ll need a bag of pre-washed and pre-cut spinach, as well as your preferred, Paleo-friendly vinaigrette. To add more flavour and visual interest, also buy a nectarine and one-third of a cup of pecans.
How to Prepare the Salad
Pan-fry the salmon in a bit of olive oil after sprinkling it with salt and pepper. It should only take a few minutes on each side in order to cook it completely. Since the size of the filet will impact how long it takes to cook, you’ll need to determine the right cooking time. In general, five minutes on medium-high heat should be more than enough.
Next, remove the filet and then add spinach to a large salad bowl or a plate. Add the filet to the top and then place nectarine segments around the salmon. Sprinkle the pecans over all of your other ingredients and then drizzle with your preferred vinaigrette.
This recipe is good for you, it’s filling (as with most Paleo diet recipes) and it’s designed to provide lots of nutrition. You may also use cold, cooked salmon. In addition, be aware that you will be able to substitute ingredients if you like. Just make sure that your substitutions are Paleo-compatible.
