I love this shake – especially after a workout. It’s both refreshing and satisfying and really REALLY creamy. It may be a bit calorific for some people but straight after a workout it really hits the spot and helps me recover faster. It’s nice to use a natural–tasting protein powder too as so many are heavily (and artificially) flavored that you can hardly taste the rest of the ingredients. The Now Foods Pea Protein is completely unflavored so you can really taste the rest of the ingredients. As I said, this is one of my favorites and I’m pretty sure it’ll be one of yours too once you try it!
Ingredients
1 scoop Now Foods Pea Protein, unflavored – Available on amazon.com . Learn how to choose the best protein powder.
1 medium banana
¼ cup natural yogurt
1 cup skim milk
1 tablespoon raw honey
1 tablespoon wheat germ
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Place all the ingredients in your blender with the protein powder in last. Blend on slow and then high for 30-seconds each and then serve. Add ice to make a smoother shake or you can also use a chopped, frozen banana if you want a cooler, thicker shake. Why I spent $484 on my blender?
