    Delicious Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

    If you want to make a delicious new smoothie that is packed with nutrition, you’ll really love my favorite smoothie recipe! It requires just a few ingredients, it’s a total breeze to make and it’s designed to help you enjoy a healthy breakfast at home or on the go. This banana strawberry smoothie recipe is a thick and satisfying drink which is beloved by kids and adults alike.

    However, you should always shake it up before you indulge, so that all of the ingredients blend!

    Ingredients

    • One-half of a banana
    • One cup of milk
    • Half a cup of strawberries (frozen). Frozen vs fresh ? .
    • One quarter of a cup of plain yogurt
    • One tablespoon of honey (liquid form)

    If you want to make bigger batches, just double or triple the recipe and then refrigerate any smoothie that you don’t drink right away. This drink does taste best fresh – however, you may refrigerate it as long as you finish the remainder within a day or two.

    How to Prepare

    To make the smoothie, just add all of the ingredients and blend until they are well combined. Which blender I use and why ?  My answer here.Pour into a tall glass or travel mug. You should be able to refrigerate what you don’t use – however, it’s best to consume all of it within a day or two after preparation. 

    Nutritional Breakdown

    In terms of nutrition, you’ll find that this fruity and fresh smoothie features one hundred and fifty calories and six grams of protein. It also has three grams of fat and twenty-seven grams of carbs. This recipe delivers one gram of fiber, twelve milligrams of cholesterol and two grams of saturated fat. It also contains calcium, iron, vitamin A and vitamin C, as well as folate.

    Here’s a convenient nutritional breakdown for easy reference…

    • Calories – 150
    • Protein – 6g
    • Carbohydrate – 7g
    • Fat – 3g
    • Fiber -1g

    If you want your smoothie to pack an even greater nutritional punch, consider some healthy add-ons. For example, some people add shots of wheatgrass, protein powder (how to choose the best protein powder for you) or Chia seeds (or all three!) to their smoothies in order to make them into even more potent “power foods”.
