How to Eat Healthily for Less

A lot of people think that, to eat healthily, you have to spend a lot of money. And while it’s true that things like free-range vegetables and grass-fed beef IS more expensive than the regular stuff, you don’t have to buy the best of the best for your diet to be healthy.

In many ways, buying healthy food is a lot like buying a car. Cars can be budget models, or you can buy a luxury car such as a Rolls Royce. But, and despite costing such different amounts of money, both types of car do the same job – they take you where you want to go!

The same is true of regular vegetables and organic vegetables. They might cost different amounts of money but, in the grand scheme of things, they both do the same job.

In my experience, more expensive foods like grass-fed meat don’t offer any noticeable benefits over regular food. Sure, they might taste a little better, but by the time I’ve created a healthy sauce, or used some great (and cheap!) seasoning, I can’t tell the difference, and I don’t expect you will either.

But, if you are worried about making your meals as healthy as possible but without breaking the bank to do it, I recommend using superfood powder. I realize that this means buying something extra but bear with me – it’ll all make sense in the end!

Superfood powders are super-concentrated. They contain dozens of dried ingredients, many of which are very exotic. Because of this, a small amount goes a very long way, and most products work out around $1-2 per serving. When you consider just how many different fruits, vegetables, and other healthy ingredients you get per serving, that’s actually very good value. Plus, you don’t need to do any cooking; just mix with water and chug it down! This all adds to a very cost-effective way to make your diet much healthier.

I’ve tried to match the nutritional benefits of superfoods with wholefoods, but it turned out to be impossible. As well as being very expensive, it was also very difficult to track down all the foods I wanted. I mean, when was the last time you saw spirulina in your local grocery store?!

No, superfood powders are the most convenient and cost-effective way to eat as healthily as possible.

There are lots of different superfood powders available, and some are better than others. However, because of clever marketing and deceptive product labeling, it’s hard to tell the good from the bad. That’s why I wrote my article Best Superfood Powder to show what you need to look for in a good product and provide you with my personal recommendations.

Still not convinced about the power of superfoods? That’s okay; I was a skeptic myself too. That’s why I did a whole lot of research and wrote my article Why superfoods in powder? I’ve also written a buying guide called How to find a good superfood powder, to make choosing the right product much easier.

So, what have you learned today? Hopefully, you now know that eating healthily doesn’t have to be super-expensive and that, per serving, using a superfood powder is probably the cheapest way to make your diet as healthy as possible.

I love my superfood powder; it really has changed how I look and how I feel. Try one for yourself – I know you’ll be impressed too.
