Movies are often there to fill the needs and wants of societies. The obsession with fitness has become an iconic part of modern culture. People’s relentless drive for perfection has spawned a mass wave of weight loss products, fitness programs and far stretching diet programs.

And some of the most famous movies around have been largely inspired by its fitness focused goals. An athlete or sports team’s need to be healthy and well-conditioned inspires millions around the world to do the same because we know deep down how great we would feel if we did it.

With that said, here are the top 5 films for movie inspiration.

    1. Rocky

rocky a movie frameYou could probably make a case for all six Rocky films to make it in but there are only so man spaces available. There is no greater story than an underdog rising from rags to riches because in an alternate world, a lot of people imagine themselves being in a situation like that where, against extreme conditions they rise far above expectations. Inspiration is borne because Apollo Creed has the best trainers, the best facilities and the best analysis. Rocky Balboa has the famous grey tracksuit, a frozen punchbag and an aged gym.

Sylvester Stallone’s commitment to the role was evident from the start, leaving millions of fans amazed that he had completely transformed himself into a hulking unit for the role. The training scenes in the movie were awe inspiring and the fight itself, legendary.

    3. Space Jam

Space Jam movie frameMichael Jordan’s decision to participate made it all the more memorable as he is arguably one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The movie incorporates a lot of his backstory, with him shooting hoops late at night, snippets of his prime days at the Chicago Bulls and the forgetful baseball stint. Yes, this is a fun movie for the kids but it really does provide a good level of inspiration for young kids to aim high because. Jordan and the Looney Tunes had to prepare and push hard to defeat the evil space alien basketball team.
