I don’t know about you, but for me, there’s absolutely no better way to jumpstart my morning than with a picture perfect strawberry kiwi smoothie.
There’s just something about this blend that gives me all the extra energy I need, and it doesn’t have the same kind of crash an hour later that a big old cup of coffee used to. Seriously, this is tough to beat.
I also love this strawberry kiwi smoothie because it’s filled with antioxidants, loaded down with the right amount of natural fiber to keep me running nice and regular, and isn’t going to stain my teeth the way coffee or tea might.
If you’ve been looking for a nice boost in the AM, this strawberry kiwi smoothie is right up your alley!
Ingredients
- Two nice sized kiwis
- One cup of frozen whole strawberries
- One six ounce container of strawberry yogurt
- About a ½ cup of milk
- Two tablespoons of honey (totally optional)
Directions
The first thing you’re going to want to do when getting ready to make this smoothie is to chunk up those kiwis.
Don’t worry about shooting for a uniform size or anything (your blender will take care of that), but instead just look to make things more manageable for your machine. We’re talking quartered kiwis at the very most, though some people might want to peel them and get a little bit more fancy – it’s totally up to you!
After you get the kiwis sorted, now it’s time to throw the rest of the ingredients right into the mix.
Open up the blender, my selection of the best blenders under $200 for smoothies, dump in your kiwis, your strawberries, your yogurt, and your milk (as wells as any honey that you’re planning on using). Watch your fingers though – blenders can be pretty sharp!
All you’ve got in front of you right now is to quickly blend all of those ingredients up. Start of rather slow, so that your blender can dice things into manageable sizes, and then boost the speed as necessary. Eventually you want to work up to the fastest setting, really smoothing out your strawberry kiwi smoothie!
Simply sit back, relax, and enjoy everything that this big time energy booster has to offer you. You’re going to love starting your mornings with this game changing strawberry kiwi smoothie – just be sure to finish it before you get in to work, or everyone’s going to want to try it!
