Superfoods have helped me to feel fitter and healthier than ever before. I have less tummy bloating, more energy, better sleep, fewer headaches, and fewer upset stomachs now that superfoods are a regular part of my diet. Try them for yourself – in either form – and I know you will feel great too!
I always try and eat as healthily as I can. I think it’s important for so many reasons. Eating healthily can help prevent weight gain, makes losing weight easier, gives you more energy, makes you more productive, helps you sleep better, and, of course, helps reduce your risks of illness and disease.
How important is good food for health? Very! After all, as the saying goes, you are what you eat!
Remember, everything you eat ultimately becomes part of you. If you eat healthy food, it will make you healthy. But, if you eat nothing but sugary junk, you’ll gain weight and become unhealthy. This can take years off your life, and make you very unhappy.
The trouble is, a lot of even the healthiest foods are now so heavily farmed and cultivated that many of them have fewer healthy nutrients than they used to. Industrial farming, mass production, and long transportation distances mean that the healthy food we eat doesn’t contain the same amount of nutrients as it used to.
Luckily, there is a group of foods that are renowned for their healthy qualities – superfoods.
Superfoods are foods that are loaded with a variety of beneficial, healthy nutrients. There are hundreds of superfoods now, and more are being discovered every month. Each one has some kind of health-boosting property that can help plug the nutritional gaps left by the other foods we eat on a daily basis, and some are proven disease fighters.
There are two ways to get superfoods into your diet – by eating the actual foods themselves or using superfood powders.
Superfoods are tasty, healthy, and you can often buy many of them in your local health food store or even your supermarket. They are usually naturally bright in color, which shows they contain a lot of vitamins, minerals, and other vital nutrients. They are very tasty, but they can be expensive. Why? Mainly because of their popularity, and because of supply and demand. Some, however, are very exotic, which makes them even more costly.
Superfoods can be used in cooking, eaten raw, added to smoothies, or eaten as snacks. It all depends on which ones you choose. Check out my article 10 Superfoods good for you for some examples of superhero superfoods.
Another way to get more superfoods into your diet is to use superfood powders. Superfood powders are dried, concentrated forms of superfoods which you can mix with water, or add to smoothies and even soups. Because they are already prepared, some people will find superfood powders much easier to use. After all, no cooking is required, and you only need to buy a tub of powder, and not spend hours hunting around your supermarket looking for them. You’ll also get a bigger variety of superfoods per serving when you use powder.
There are a lot of different superfood powders available, so in my article How to find a good superfood power, I discuss everything you need to consider before making your purchase. In my article “Best Superfood Powder” I reveal my favorite products so you can see which ones I recommend.
Not sure which option is for you? Don’t worry; I’ve got you covered. In my article Wholefood superfoods vs. superfood powders, I discuss the pros and cons of both so you can decide which is right for you. Personally, I use a mixture of the two options, but it’s up to you to find the best solution for your needs.
